Working with Longo’s, Alexa developed a program to support Longo’s Taste Ontario initiative which highlights Ontario-grown and Ontario-made products and the relationships Longo’s has with Ontario farmers and producers. Alexa created campaign profiling Longo’s Taste Ontario program that engaged consumers through featured content, community outreach and encouraged consumer-generated content.To reach food and social influencers with the Taste Ontario message, Alexa created, produced and hosted Taste Ontario Taste the World, an interactive dining event held at Longo’s Maple Leaf Square Loft. The menu featured Ontario grown or produced feature ingredients in five dishes from five different cuisines.
An early foray into social media and digital content marketing for Longo’s, Alexa’s work drove significant attention and traffic and provided a framework for future campaigns and programs.
The goal of our Taste Ontario Ambassador program was to showcase Longo’s leadership in fresh and local food. We selected Alexa to partner with as she shares our passion for local food and is a well-known and respected blogger within the GTA. We wanted to share some of our stories from our long-term relationships with Ontario farmers and inviting Alexa to have an insider-view proved to be a great fit as her background helped us to bridge the farm-to-market and kitchen-to-table.
